One of the more unique collaboration watches to emerge lately, the Hender Scheme x G-Shock DW-5600HS-4JF is the first official G-Shock production to include an authentic leather band. (The G-STEEL Tough Leather Series uses a synthetic leather band.)
The leather band is handsewn and vegetable-tanned through a process known as pit tanning. The band has a natural look that is meant to age with use. The watch also includes a standard resin band that matches the body, and comes in a custom box.
The watch is a light beige color featuring a clean face with no text, with the button function labels on the case back instead. A Hender Scheme logo is engraved on the case back and also appears when the EL backlight is activated.
The DW-5600HS-4JF will be available on January 3, 2018 at the Hender Scheme Online Shop and select retailers in Japan.
Tokyo-based footwear and accessories maker Hender Scheme was founded by Ryo Kashiwazaki in 2010.
