The Kolor x G-Shock GMW-B5000KL-9 is the first full collaboration model for the full-metal GMW-B5000 series. The GMW-B5000KL-9 is limited to 700 units worldwide and was created in partnership with Japanese fashion label Kolor. The design evokes the unique vision of Kolor which is known for using different materials, and combines a gold IP stainless steel body with black resin bands. The buckle and strap keeper are also treated with a gold IP, and the display is a reverse LCD. The black and gold scheme is also applied to the display which has a Kolor logo on it. The outer face has a cleaner design than other GMW-B5000 models and forgoes the brick pattern on the solar panel. The case back has an engraved “35th Anniversary by Kolor” logo and there is also a Kolor logo on the gold strap keeper.
Kolor, an internationally recognized brand, was founded in 2004 by Junichi Abe, a graduate of Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo.
Update: The GMW-B5000KL-9JR has a list price of ¥70,000 JPY plus tax and will be released on July 7, 2018 at the Kolor store in Minamiaoyama, Tokyo. Advanced orders will be available, with more information to be announced at Kolor.jp and instagram.com/kolorofficial.
