G-Shock Australia’s latest episode of its #MYGSHOCK video series features Nige Webster of the Australian Fishing Network and the All 4 Adventure show. Nige talks about his introduction to G-Shock and the functions of certain G-Shock watches that are useful to fishermen, such as the tide chart, barometer, and moon phase data. A fan of Gulfmasters and Mudmasters, Nige has been recently wearing the Rangeman GPR-B1000 which features the Triple Sensor (altimeter-barometer, compass, thermometer), tide and moon graph, solar-assisted GPS tracking, and GPS timekeeping.

Hi G-Central,
I have been researching for a G-Shock model that can:
1. One-press timing start from the Timekeeping Mode (direct timing start from the Timekeeping Mode);
2. Fly Back;
3. Split Seconds;
4. Digital display.
Do you think there is such a model?
I don’t think there is a model that fits all those criteria.
does not exist.
If I give up on flyback, the remaining 3 criteria leads me to GW9400, yes? Some research showed me that flyback is actually a very scarce function that is exclusively present on few gravitymaster analog models. You’d be surprised because flyback seems to be much easier to achieve on a digital stopwatch than on an analog one, yet G-Shock didn’t do it.
Yes.
