The G-Shock GWF-A1000BRT-1A is the first limited edition analog Frogman watch.
Inspired by the colorful Borneo rainbow toad, which was rediscovered after 87 years in 2011, the watch has a special design that includes pink and orange accents, clear resin bezel guards, a rainbow IP stainless steel bezel, and a unique etching on the bezel that resembles the warty skin of the toad. There are also some green, blue, and yellow colors in the mix. Each rainbow IP has a different shade, and no two bezels are alike, which reflects the rarity of the Borneo rainbow toad. The watch also has a unique case back image, which is a variation of the new Frogman emblem with warty skin and a long tongue added.
The base GWF-A1000 base is the first Frogman with an analog display and features ISO Diver’s 200M water resistance, Carbon Core Guard with a carbon monocoque case, sapphire crystal, Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 automatic radio timekeeping, and Bluetooth mobile link. Other features include a tide graph, Neobrite luminescent hands, date and day display, stopwatch, countdown timer, daily alarm, dual time, LED light, and a diving mode with dive time, surface time measurement, and 30 log records.
The GWF-A1000BRT-1A is limited to 2,000 pieces. In Japan, the GWF-A1000BRT-1AJR has a list price of 115,000 JPY before tax and will be released in October 2020. The GWF-A1000BRT-1A will also be released in other Asian countries.

LSD Watch
Initially I was disappointed! However, I think it will be something joyful on the wrist.
Did someone at Casio Lick the toad, then tripped while designing it?
Cuz Dang That’s UGLY….
I remember when the Frogman was actually cool.
it look like cheap china watch for me
It is interesting, G-Shock have really pushed the colourful boat out on this one. The main worry I have is the lack of steel case that is synonymous with Frogman, the plastic (carbon reinforced it is still categorised as a plastic) is very light and won’t have that quality feeling. Also no depth gauge like the previous digital GWF-D1000… Anyway, it is sort of cool and I would like to see it for real.
yeah i mean if you actually dive you might want to know how far down you are…not sure on this one
Blah blah blah… people are criticizing on the colours saying that it’s ridiculous and ugly but at the end they all come lapping it up and queuing up / camping outside the shop or aimlessly looking for them regardless of the price… Lol!
…SMH…
Love the vibe of this rainbow ana-frog. Its a nice deviation from the old, mostly same-looking design digi-frogs. A little change of flavor once in a while is good.
Please God, let this be a horrible, horrible joke. Not only did Casio make this analogue Frog come to life, but now they’re off making this… thing.
I laughed when I first saw this a few months back and now my tears of mirth have been replaced with tears of disbelief and shock. This IS a joke, Casio, yes?
So this is what disappointment looks like. An almost rainbow coloured analogue watch. I’ll be glad to report that I won’t be falling love with this and save my money for something that won’t be as garish as this piece. Perhaps I’m wrong and I don’t know how to appreciate analogue Frogman but I’m happy with my generation 6 Frogman. Here’s hoping my attitude gets adjusted or Casio made a grave error.
