G-Shock Ignite Red Series features the classic black and red color scheme on five analog-digital watches

Black and red, along with black and gold, is a classic color combination for G-Shock watches, as the first G-Shock DW-5000C-1A featured red accents (and the DW-5000C-1B had gold accents) with a black resin bezel and band. It is a commonly recurring color combination with new releases throughout the years, and G-Shock continues the tradition with the Ignite Red Series of analog-digital watches. Announced for October, the series includes the large GA-100BNR-1A, large GA-700BNR-1A, medium GA-B2100BNR-1A, medium GA-2200BNR-1A, and large GAS-100BNR-1A.

Of special note is the GA-B2100BNR-1A, which is the first GA-B2100 (with Tough Solar and Bluetooth) to be released after the four launch models in May 2022. There haven’t been many new GAS-100 releases since the late 2010s, and the extra-large GAS-100BNR-1A is the only GAS-100 release in 2022. The GA-700BNR-1A, another large and popular base model thanks to its 5-year battery, will be released internationally but not in Japan, as has been the case with other GA-700 models lately. In Japan, the GAW-100BNR-1AJF with Multi-Band 6 was released instead of the GAS-100BNR-1A. The series is expected to get a wider release soon.
