G-Shock Ninja Series includes DW-5600NNJ-2JR, DW-6900NNJ-1JR, GA-2100NNJ-8AJR

The upcoming G-Shock Ninja Series is another series that is inspired by Japanese culture, which usually include a trio of limited edition watches that are made in Japan. An image of the GA-2100NNJ-8AJR case back shows that it is made in Japan, and the DW-5600NNJ-2JR and DW-6900NNJ-1JR are also reportedly made there. The GA-2100NNJ-8AJR is using Module 5711 instead of the usual 5611, which was also used in the GA-2140RX-7A and GMA-S2140RX-7A. (We are currently unable to ascertain how this module is different from 5611, as they appear to have the same specifications and functions.)

Each model represents a different type of ninjitsu. The DW-5600NNJ-2JR has a translucent navy blue bezel to represent water techniques. The black DW-6900NNJ-1JR features a multi-angle graphic on the face and along the triple graph to represent the running style of the ninja. The translucent gray GA-2100NNJ-8AJR with a skeleton dial represents fire and smoke techniques. Each model features a shuriken (throwing star) motif on the face and case back, and all models have a silver stainless steel band keeper with four shuriken engraved on it, which is probably a nod to the G-Shock 40th Anniversary. The indicator on the subdial of the GA-2100NNJ-8AJR is in the shape of a shuriken. The DW-5600NNJ-2JR has a chainmail-like pattern hot stamped on the band and a shuriken graphic on the LED backlight. (It also looks like the other models may have a hot-stamped pattern on the band.)

These models were announced for an October 2023 release in Japan, and it’s not yet known if they will be released in other countries.

Update: Officially, the English titles are SUITON-NO-JUTSU for the DW-5600NNJ-2JR, NINJA-BASHIRI for the DW-6900NNJ-1JR, and KATON-NO-JUTSU for the GA-2100NNJ-8AJR. Casio states that all three models are made in Japan.

Update 2: As of October 8, 2023, it looks like this series will not be released outside of Japan.

Update 3: The DW-5600NNJ-2, DW-6900NNJ-1, and GA-2100NNJ-8A will be released throughout Asia in November 2023.
