Team Land Cruiser Toyota Auto Body is partnering with Casio again for the release of the G-Shock Mudman GW-9500TLC-1 in February. This is the second limited edition for the GW-9500 series, and it follows the previous TLC collaboration from 2022 (GWG-2000TLC-1A). The watch was announced in Japan and Asia so far and is expected to be released worldwide, with the U.S. price scheduled for $440.
The GW-9500TLC-1 is inspired by the Dakar Rally 2024 and the participating Land Cruiser 300 GR Sport vehicle. The TLC Toyota Auto Body team performed a one-two finish for the Production Car category on January 19, marking the team’s eleventh consecutive victory in the event. The black watch has a brown resin band with a printed black splatter pattern. The TLC logo adorns the case back and appears in red on the display when the LED backlight is activated. The exclusive packaging is made from recycled materials.
Along with its mud-and-dust-resistant button structure, the GW-9500 features Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 automatic radio time correction, the Triple Sensor (pressure with altimeter and barometer, compass, and thermometer), and a duplex LCD display for sensor pointers and indicators. Unlike standard GW-9500 models such as the GW-9500-1 with a full resin bezel, the GW-9500TLC-1 has a resin and metal hybrid bezel with a stainless steel front bezel piece. The GW-9500TLC-1 is a Carbon Core Guard model measuring 56.7 x 52.7 x 14.8 millimeters and weighing 88 grams.
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the GW9500TLC-1 for $440.
