Along with the first Itzy collaboration and the GMA-P2100W-7A which was already released in other countries, G-Shock Japan announced six new models for March 2024.
Three new DW-H5600 colorways include the black DW-H5600-1A2 with blue accents, the white DW-H5600-7, and the gray DW-H5600MB-8 with a black ion-plated stainless steel bezel piece. While the accents on the face of the DW-H5600-1A2 are blue, the G-Shock and Protection logos on the bezel are more of a violet color. The stainless steel front bezel of the DW-H5600MB-8 has a brushed finish, which is different than the polished finish of the DW-H5600MB-1. The fitness-oriented DW-H5600 is the most advanced 5000-5600 series and supports running, walking, gym workouts, and interval training with a heart rate monitor, step tracker, Bluetooth link, and solar-assisted charging. (Japan model names and tax-included prices: DW-H5600-1A2JR, 41,800 yen. DW-H5600-7JR, 41,800 yen. DW-H5600MB-8JR, 44,000 yen.)
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the white DWH5600-7 for $299.
G-Shock is reviving the DW-6900CS series from 2008, perhaps in response to renewed interest in the DW-6900 series which was historically popular with musicians and streetwear fashion. The DW-6900CS series was the first “Crazy Color” series to be released along with two DW-5600CS models (thank you Shockbase). The revived models include the black and green DW-6900RCS-1, pink and silver DW-6900RCS-4, and white and blue DW-6900RCS-7. In addition to their unique color combinations, these watches have a glossy finish on the bezel and band. These models are equipped with the updated module 3529 with the LED light and approximate 5-year battery life. (Japan model names and prices: DW-6900RCS-1JF, DW-6900RCS-4JF, DW-6900RCS-7JF, 14,300 yen each.)
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the DW6900RCS-1, DW6900RCS-4, and DW6900RCS-7 for $120 each.
