G-Shock is adding the blue GBX-100-2A and the beige GBX-100-8 to the G-LIDE GBX-100 series of advanced tide watches. The GBX-100 features a high-contrast MIP LCD display, tide and moon graphs with support for around 3,300 locations, sunrise and sunset time, step counter, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, and vibration alerts. The GBX-100 has a stainless steel front bezel, and the bezel and band of these new models are made of bio-based resins.

The compact G-LIDE GLX-S5600 surfing series for women and smaller wrists is getting the blue GLX-S5600-2 and the white GLX-S5600-7B. The GLX-S5600-7B appears to be a brighter white compared to the GLXS5600-7 and has neutral face colors. These models have a tide and moon graph and also some unique features over the basic GMD-S5600 such as world time, three multi-function alarms with one snooze, a full 1/100-second stopwatch (up to 23:59’59.99” and with 5-second countdown auto start), button sound disabling, and an adjustable LED backlight duration of 1.5 or 3 seconds.

These four models are being released in May in Japan, with other countries expected to follow. In Japan, the GBX-100-2AJF and GBX-100-8JF have a tax-included price of 25,300 yen each, and the GLX-S5600-2JF and GLX-S5600-7BJF have a tax-included price of 14,850 yen each.
Update: G-Shock U.S. is expected to release the GBX100-2A and GBX100-8 for $160 each, and the GLXS5600-2 and GLXS5600-7B for $99 each.
