British rapper Central Cee wears G-Shock watches

British rapper Central Cee garnered some attention recently for his front row appearance at the Louis Vuitton fashion show at Paris Fashion Week, in which he shared his Nintendo DS with Sabrina Carpenter. British GQ noted that, along with a Louis Vuitton coat and sneakers, he was wearing a glossy black Casio G-Shock DW-6900SP-1 watch, which is a 2020 limited edition for the 25th anniversary of the DW-6900 series.

The 26 year-old rapper continues the long tradition of hip-hop artists and musicians favoring the affordable DW-6900 as a fashion accessory. He is also a collector of luxury watches and sometimes wears two watches simultaneously with a luxury watch and a G-Shock on each wrist. In addition to some of his Instagram posts showing him wearing various G-Shock watches, he wore the DW-5600HR-1 in his 2021 music video for “Obsessed With You” (youtube.com), and the DW-6900SP-1 also appears in his 2022 music video for “One Up” (youtube.com).

Central Cee is widely considered to be the United Kingdom’s biggest rap star and won Best Male Act and Song of the Year for “Sprinter” at the 2023 MOBO Awards. In 2023, he launched the Syna World streetwear brand (synaworldwide.com).
