Fashionable G-Shock colorways for August 2024 including Rainbow Brick Wall Series and more women’s 2100 watches, with promo videos

G-Shock Japan’s new release lineup for August 2024 has a little something for everyone: all-new and affordable 10-year battery models that remind us of the original G-Shock vision of building the ultimate tool watch, the first limited edition Master of G series of 2024, the nearly forgotten G-8900 in a traditional style, and a bunch of fashionable colorways for all sexes.

G-Shock Rainbow Brick Wall Series

The Rainbow Brick Wall Series takes the iconic brick wall pattern from the original G-Shock DW-5000 and puts it on resin and stainless steel-covered modern classic models. According to Casio, the brick wall pattern “expresses the tough spirit of overcoming obstacles and constantly exceeding limits.” The pattern has also made appearances on limited edition DW-5000 anniversary models, the GMW-B5000, and the MRG-B5000. This is the first time for it to appear in a metallic rainbow gradient, which is applied by a vapor deposition. The gradation hues on the 5600 models are unique to each individual watch (as seen below) due to how the vapor deposition process is applied to the glass, and the hues change depending on the lighting. The iridescent brick pattern on the 2100 models is made with a combination of a silver vapor deposition, laser etching, and color printing.

The models include (from left to right) GM-2100RW-1A (32,450 yen), GA-2100RW-1A (20,900 yen), DW-5600RW-1 (16,500 yen), and GM-5600RW-1 (29,700 yen).

Update: G-Shock U.S. is expected to release the GA2100RW-1A ($130), GM2100RW-1A ($220), DW5600RW-1 ($120), and GM5600RW-1 ($200.00). There is also a GM2100BRW-1A ($240) and GM5600BRW-1 ($220) listed that were not announced for Japan or Asia, with gray ion plated bezels.

The G-Shock GMA-P2100 Silky Texture Series features resin bezels and bands with a “matte polarized pearl coating” and matching metallic dials. The GMA-P2100 is one of the smallest watches of the 2100 line, measuring 46 x 40.2 x 11.2 millimeters. It is very close in size to the metal-covered GM-S2100. The models from left to right include the GMA-P2100ST-4, GMA-P2100ST-7A, and GMA-P2100ST-9A, with a price of 20,900 yen each.

Update: G-Shock U.S. is expected to release all three models for $130 each.

These GM-S2110 models are the first GM-S2110 models. They are 0.1 millimeter wider and 1 gram heavier than GM-S2100 models, and they do not have that pie-shaped design on the left side of the dial. These models have a different module (5730) than the GM-S2100 but have the same functions, and it is the same module as the GMA-P2100. These models are also notable for having flat gray resin bands with no ridges. The models from left to right include the GM-S2110-3A with green dial, GM-S2110-2A with blue dial, and GM-S2110-4A with pink dial, with a price of 29,150 yen each.

Update: G-Shock U.S. is expected to release all three models for $180 each.
