G-Shock enthusiast WatchDavid is once again one of the first to feature a highly anticipated Casio release on YouTube.com (embedded below). He was able to get the Casio CRW-001 from Japan and provides a hands-on look at the unique ring watch that is shaped like a G-Shock. His included instructions are in Japanese, but you can also find the English version online at casio.com. The shots of the ring watch on his ring and middle fingers arguably look better than the original Casio promotional photos where it was shown only on an index finger. Despite the small size of the module which is 1/10 the size of a normal watch, the display appears to be perfectly legible when being worn. WatchDavid is clearly happy and excited about his purchase, even though he paid much higher than the retail price on Ebay. I was on the fence about buying the ring watch, but this video is making me want it and it’s looking like a must-have for G-Shock fans, so proceed watching at your own risk.
The CRW-001-1 quickly sold out in Japan and China and will be released in other countries very soon.
