G-Shock New Zealand shared a holiday and New Year video greeting from G-Shock creator Kikuo Ibe. In the English-spoken message, Ibe mentions upcoming product innovations in “shape, color, material, and finish.” It’s interesting that he mentioned “shape” in addition to the frequently marketed CMF, as it suggests that some new watch designs are coming. G-Shock usually introduces a handful of all-new watches every year, but Casio usually doesn’t mention a commitment to innovations in shape. Ibe adds his usual charismatic quirkiness to the message with an unusual suggestion near the end of the video.
