Casio Japan announced the Pro Trek PRW-3100FC-1JF watch for March. The ¥62,000 (~$550) list price places it as the most premium PRW-3100 watch currently available. The black watch features a sapphire glass display with anti-reflective coating and a composite band made of fine resin with an embedded metal reinforcement and a folding clasp lock. It has a stainless steel bezel with a black ion plated coating.
The import-only PRW-3100 line is known for its super-twisted nematic (STN) LCD display for superior readability and a stainless steel bezel for added durability. Aside from its exterior upgrades it has the same features as the PRW-3000 line including 100-meter water resistance, Tough Solar/Multi-Band 6, and the Triple Sensor Version 3 (with altimeter, barometer, compass and thermometer). It is a Slim Line model and slightly thinner than the PRW-3000 with dimensions of 56 × 47.1 × 12 mm, making it the slimmest Casio Triple Sensor watch. Other features include sunrise/sunset data, world time, stop watch (1,000 hours), countdown timer (24 hours), 5 alarms with 1 snooze alarm, and full auto LED backlight.
The only other PRW-3100 model with a folding clasp band is the PRW-3100T-7JF, a silver model with a mineral glass display. The new PRW-3100FC-1JF is a good but pricey alternative for a darker look with an upgraded crystal. It is slightly lighter at 101 grams versus 106 grams for the titanium model.
