Casio China is releasing the black and gold G-Shock MTG-B3000CXD-9A in November, which is also expected to be released worldwide in December. The watch is named “Golden Armor Divine Dragon” and is inspired by the 2024 Year of the Dragon Chinese zodiac sign. It has a dragon motif with engraved scale markings on the gold ion plated stainless steel bezel and band parts. This made-in-Japan model has a resin band with a stainless steel band keeper and a black ion plated case back with a dragon engraving instead of the usual Triple G Resist logo. The China release will come in a special red box and case that includes a bracelet.
The MTG-B3000CXD-9A is a relatively thin and light model measuring 51.9 x 50.9 x 12.1 millimeters and weighing 111 grams. Major features of the MTG-B3000 series include shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 auto radio time adjustment, Bluetooth smartphone link, Triple G Resist (protection against shock, centrifugal gravity, and vibration), dual time, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, auto date display, and LED light. In China, the watch has a list price of 8,088 yuan (about US$1,108).
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the MTGB3000CXD9A for $1,050.
The box set with case and bracelet is expected to be exclusive to China.
