Casio America announces G-Shock GW5035A-1 for USA release

We previously reported that the G-Shock GW-5035A-1 was initially a Japan-only release separate from the international release of the Big Bang Black 35th Anniversary Collection. Now the U.S.A. will also be getting this limited edition anniversary model as the GW5035A-1 with a list price of $350 USD. Casio America announced an October 2017 release along with the rest of the Big Black 35th Anniversary Collection.
The GW5035A-1 has a newly developed super matte finish, reverse LCD display, gold screw-lock case back, and a gold IP stainless steel band keeper. The case back has a special 35th Anniversary engraved logo by Eric Haze and the band keeper has “Since 1983” and a three plus five star graphic. This model, like the Japan-only GW-5000-1JF, is a tribute to the first-ever G-Shock DW-5000C-1A and retains some design elements of that model like the squarish case shape and screw-lock case back. It also adds the modern features of Tough Solar power and Multi-Band 6 timekeeping as well as an upgraded stainless steel inner body and DLC coating.
