Casio is opening a virtual G-Shock Store in VRChat

Casio will be opening the virtual G-Shock Store in the metaverse on October 6. The store will be hosted on the social virtual reality platform VRChat, and Casio is the first watch company to open a “world” (virtual space) there. The virtual “My G-Shock” watch customization service will allow users to create their own personalized watches using different parts and have their avatars try them on. Users will also be able to purchase virtual watch components at the official Casio online shop on the BOOTH marketplace, and these items can be worn by avatars in the G-Shock Store and other VRChat worlds. The store will also feature displays with information for new (real world) products, such as the Mudmaster GWG-B1000.
VRChat is accessible with a VR headset or without a headset in desktop mode.
