The Casio WASB1000 is similar in design and function to the G-Shock GD-B500 and features a step tracker and Bluetooth smartphone link. The module also has the same accuracy as the G-Shock (+/-15 seconds per month). The disadvantages compared to the G-Shock GD-B500 are a lack of shock resistance, resin glass instead of mineral, 100-meter water resistance instead of 200-meter, and no auto-activation function for the LED backlight, but the watch offers the same step tracking functions including a daily goal setting and a 200-lap memory for the stopwatch. One advantage is that the WSB1000 has five buttons, with the front-facing button used for measuring lap and split times. Other features include dual time, countdown timer (60 minutes), 5 daily alarms, hourly time signal, full auto calendar, power save function, and low battery alert. A Bluetooth connection to the Casio Watches smartphone app offers additional functions such as auto time correction, phone finder, world time, step count and stopwatch data transfer, auto summer time (DST) switching, alarm and timer settings, and time & place log.
