Casio’s ‘Fun Watch Story’ Series highlights interesting wristwatches from the past

In commemoration of the Casio Watch 50th Anniversary in 2024, Casio’s blog-like site at note-pr.casio.co.jp is running the “Fun Watch Story” series about interesting wristwatches from the past. (The articles are in Japanese but are translatable with the Chrome browser.) Some of these watches, while technologically groundbreaking and historically significant, are those that don’t always get as much attention as other historical models, so it’s interesting to learn some additional background information on them which also includes later developments in some cases. There are currently nine watches featured in the series, with more expected to come.

Casio America is also featuring vintage watches including some of these and others on Instagram (instagram.com/casio_us).
