G-Shock DW5000R-1A pre-orders now available at this U.S. authorized dealer with free Toyo tool box (and international shipping available)

We’re not sure if the G-Shock DW5000R-1A already went on sale at casio.com/us and sold out, but apparently it did, according to one Watchuseek.com member. [It’s actually available again there and not sold out yet, see Update 2 below.]

We do know that authorized U.S. Casio dealer Reeds Jewelers (who also ships internationally to select countries) is now accepting pre-orders for the DW5000R-1A at $200 each, with a limit of one per customer (affiliate link below). You can also currently get a free G-Shock tool box with the order, with the tool box automatically being added to the cart. Orders are scheduled to ship in the last week of December. Standard shipping is free for continental U.S. addresses. Payment options include credit cards, Paypal, Amazon, and Bitcoin.

We probably don’t need to remind you that the DW5000R-1A, a made-in-Japan reproduction of the original G-Shock DW-5000C-1A from 1983, is widely considered to be the most coveted G-Shock release of the year.

Update: I ordered one and the estimated shipping date is December 30.

Update 2: Casio U.S. is also offering what appears to be the same tool box in a holiday promotion at gshock.casio.com/us. According to Casio, the tool box is from Toyo Steel and it looks like the stackable T-190 model. The dimensions and weight for the tool box listed at Casio appear to be wrong, as those seem to match the larger T-320.

Update 3: The watch is now also available at casio.com/us, and orders placed by December 19, 2 p.m. EST, with express shipping or by December 23 with next-day air shipping will arrive by Christmas, according to a Casio promotional email for the DW5000R-1A.
