Continuing the trend of youth-oriented designs, the G-Shock Lucky Drop series is inspired by the capsule toy vending machines found in arcades and malls. These three classic models have clear resin bezels with colored cases beneath, non-inverted LCD displays, and a capsule pattern on the faces and dial, with a single open capsule found among unopened ones. These limited edition models come in exclusive packaging in the style of a vending machine and capsule. The Lucky Drop Series is scheduled for a January 2023 release in Japan, with other regions expected to follow.
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the DW5600GL-9 ($140), DW6900GL-4 ($140), and GA110GL-4A ($160) in February 2023. These models also appear to come in the limited capsule packaging in the U.S., according to the Casio.com website.
