G-Shock to illuminate Tokyo Tower for 40th Anniversary

Tokyo Tower

On Wednesday, April 12, from 18:30 to 24:00, the Tokyo Tower will host a special illumination to commemorate the Casio G-Shock 40th Anniversary. The illumination will feature several light patterns, including one with the brand colors of black and red, a birthday-party-like pattern, and one that uses the blue-green backlight color of the EL backlight from iconic models like the DW-5600 and DW-6900.

One of Japan’s most recognizable landmarks and its second-tallest structure, Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower built in 1958. The original G-Shock (DW-5000C) watch was invented in Japan and made its debut on April 12, 1983.
