Leather goods maker Hender Scheme is releasing its third G-Shock collaboration in March 2023, which will be sold by lottery in Japan. Deviating from the white and tan designs of the previous DW-5600HS-4 and DW-5750HS20-4, the new watch is a stealth black DW-6900 with a minimalist blank face design and a positive LCD display. The Hender Scheme logo appears on the EL backlight and is also engraved on the stainless steel case back and imprinted on the back of the leather band. The unique band is made of black bridle leather, which is a full grain vegetable tanned leather used for horse harnesses. The band has a waxed finish that will come off with use. The watch also includes a standard black resin band.
Lottery winners can purchase the watch for 31,900 yen including tax. Entries for the sales lottery will be accepted from March 10 to March 12 online at entry.henderscheme.com and at the Sukima stores in Tokyo and Osaka. Winners will be notified by email on March 14 and shipping will begin on March 17. The lottery is open to residents of Japan only.
Update: U.S. retailer Bodega is selling the watch for $375 with international shipping available at bdgastore.com.
