‘Kawasaki x G-Shock DW-5600’ collaboration features the River Mark logo

Kawasaki is teaming up with G-Shock for the release of a DW-5600 collaboration, which is part of the Kawasaki Plaza lineup of clothing and accessories. The watch has a straightforward black and white design with a bold Kawasaki text logo alongside the River Mark logo, with the logos also engraved on the stainless steel case back. The River Mark symbol, a motif of the Japanese character “kawa” (river), first appeared in the 1870s when it was flown on the flags of the ships owned by the Kawasaki Tsukiji Shipyard, the predecessor to Kawasaki Heavy Industries. The River Mark reappeared in 2015 on the upper cowling of the Ninja H2 and H2R. In 2021, Kawasaki adopted the River Mark as a corporate identity symbol and brand logo for the newly formed Kawasaki Motors Ltd.

The Kawasaki x G-Shock DW-5600 watch is scheduled to be released in late December 2023 in Japan with a tax-included price of 14,740 yen.
