New for October are the Casio Pro Trek PRW-61LD-5 and PRW-6900BF-1, both of which have unique luminescent properties on the dial for enhanced nighttime viewing. The PRW-61LD-5 features a fully luminescent dial, and the PRW-6900BF-1 features with red-glowing Neobrite luminescent coating on the hands and tips of the indexes. Both models are made with bio-based resins. The PRW-61LD-5 was announced for the Asia region and may be released in other regions soon. In Japan, the PRW-61LD-5JF has a tax-included price of 61,600 yen (which is around 8% more than the standard PRW-61-1AJF model). The PRW-6900BF-1 was only announced for Japan so far as PRW-6900BF-1JF, with a tax-included price of 71,500 yen (which is around 5% more than the standard PRW-6900 launch models).
Pro Trek PRW-61LD-5: As a PRW-61 model, the PRW-61LD-5 measures 51 x 47.4 x 14.7 millimeters and weighs 53 grams. Major features include 100-meter water resistance, Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 auto radio time correction, the Triple Sensor (altimeter/barometer, compass, thermometer), low temperature resistance, and full auto double LED light. This is the first Casio watch to integrate a fully luminescent Neobrite dial with a Tough Solar dial. The dial glows green, and the analog hands glow a soft blue.
Pro Trek PRW-6900BF-1: As a PRW-6900 model, the PRW-6900BF-1 measures 49.6 x 44.8 x 14.7 millimeters and weighs 65 grams. It has the same major features as the PRW-61LD-5. This model in inspired by a campfire on a campsite, with the red-glowing Neobrite hands and markers representing the fire. The coating appears as white when not in the dark. The dial and black ion-plated stainless steel bezel have a rough-textured surface that resembles the cast iron cookware used with campfires. The watch has a soft urethane band.
