The new G-Shock Skeleton Gold collection is reminiscent of the 35th Anniversary Glacier Gold Series, albeit with smaller S Series watches. Consisting of the digital GMD-S5600SG-7 and the analog-digital GMA-S110SG-7A and GMA-S120SG-7A watches, the summer-inspired series features transparent bezels and bands, metallic gold vapor-deposited faces, and white resin cases that are visible beneath the bezel.
The GMD-S5600SG-7 is the first new GMD-S5600 colorway following the release of the four debut models in January 2023. A similar three-model S Series skeleton collection with rose gold dials was released in 2020 with a GMD-S6900 as the digital model.
This series has been announced only in Japan so far, but a wider release is expected.
Update: G-Shock U.S. released the GMAS110SG-7A ($150), GMAS120SG-7A ($150), and GMD-S5600SG-7 ($110) in May 2023.
