Casio officially announced the first multi-model limited edition series for the Casio Watch 50th Anniversary. The series includes six solar-powered watches with a blue and yellow motif inspired by the effects of sunlight reflecting on the sky and sea. The watches span Casio’s most prominent sub-brands, including the recently revived Casiotron.
The models (from top, left to right) include the Baby-G BGA-S290SS-2A, Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000SS-2A, G-Shock GMW-B5000SS-2, Casiotron TRN-50SS-2A, Pro Trek PRW-61SS-2, and Edifice ECB-2000SS-2A. Each model has a 50th Anniversary logo on the case back, and four of them are made in Japan (excluding the Baby-G and Edifice models). The Oceanus, G-Shock, and Casiotron models have metal bands with a band clasp made with gold-colored hinge parts with a 50th Anniversary pattern.

The specific production amount for this series was not revealed, except for the Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000SS-2A which is 600 units. All models, except for the OCW-S7000SS-2A, are expected to be released worldwide, although it may vary by country.
The Casio Watch 50th Anniversary Sky and Sea Series will launch in Japan on June 7, 2024. Please follow your country’s official G-Casio site for release updates.
Baby-G BGA-S290SS-2A
The BGA-S290SS-2A features Tough Solar power and 100-meter water resistance and has a bezel and band made of bio-based resin. This is the first-ever Baby-G BGA-S290 model.

Edifice ECB-2000SS-2A
The Tough Solar and Bluetooth-equipped ECB-2000SS-2A has a carbon-fiber reinforced case, blue ion-plated stainless steel bezel, and sapphire crystal with internal anti-glare coating. The blue band is made of the suede-like and durable Alcantara material and has a gold buckle. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters.

G-Shock GMW-B5000SS-2
The GMW-B5000SS-2 is a full metal stainless steel model featuring Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6 automatic radio time adjustment, and Bluetooth. The bezel has a unique multicolor design with a blue front bezel contrasting with the silver, and the border of the display has a metallic gold finish with a fluted pattern, which is also unique for a GMW-B5000.
The GMW-B5000 series was originally launched in 2018 during the G-Shock 35th Anniversary and is modeled in the image of a full metal version of the first G-Shock DW-5000C from 1983, which had a stainless steel screw-back case under its resin bezel. Like all GMW-B5000 watches, this model is made in Japan.

Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000SS-2A
The OCW-S7000SS-2A is a thin and medium-sized luxury watch made of titanium and a sapphire glass bezel ring with a DLC-coated titanium bezel frame. It also has a sapphire insert on the crown and case back. The display glass is sapphire with a double-sided anti-glare coating, and the dial has a gradated dark blue to turquoise blue vapor deposition. Features include Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6, Bluetooth, and 100-meter water resistance. This model is made in Japan at Casio’s Premium Production Line.
The OCW-S7000SS-2A is limited to 600 units worldwide, each with its own serial number. This model is currently listed only on the Casio Japan website and does not have an international product page like the other five models. Although it could possibly be released in a few other countries, it is not expected to be released worldwide.
The Oceanus brand, which was launched with the involvement of G-Shock creator Kikuo Ibe in 2004, celebrates its 20th Anniversary in 2024. Along with the OCW-S7000SS-2A, three limited edition Oceanus 20th Anniversary models will be released in Japan in June.

Pro Trek PRW-61SS-2
The PRW-61SS-2 is a lightweight climbing model featuring Tough Solar, Multi-Band 6, 100-meter water resistance, low temperature resistance, and the Triple Sensor (pressure with altimeter and barometer, compass, thermometer). The case and case back are made of bio-based resin, resulting in a weight of just 56 grams. This made-in-Japan model has a blue cloth band with a gold buckle and keeper.

Casiotron TRN-50SS-2A
The full metal stainless steel TRN-50SS-2A is modeled after the first-ever Casio watch (Casiotron QW02 from 1974), with modern features added such as Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6, and Bluetooth. It is also water-resistant to 50 meters, which makes it suitable for swimming. The case back has a glass insert with a blue-toned printing featuring the 50th Anniversary logo in gold. This is the second TRN-50 model, with the first being the TRN-50-2A which was the first Casio Watch 50th Anniversary limited edition release. This model is made in Japan.
