The GW-M5610, now the GW-M5610U with updated module, is a modern day version of the original G-Shock with Tough Solar power and Multi-Band 6 automatic radio time syncing. Unlike the stainless steel case of the GW-5000, the GW-M5610 has a lighter resin case. In the U.S., the GW-M5610U-1 (with update module 3495) is now being sold as the GWM5610-1 by some retailers (Casio.com, Amazon).

Note: Casio America, Amazon, and some other retailers are now selling the GW-M5610U-1 (Module 3495) as the GWM5610-1. The GW-M5610U-1 can be identified by the “LIGHT” label on the top right of the face (as opposed to “EL BACK LIGHT” on the older non-U model) and by the series name (GW-M5610U) and module number (3495) on the case back. It is possible that some retailers and third party sellers are still selling the old GWM5610-1 (Module 3159) in the U.S.
