Streetwear boutique Bodega to launch G-Shock DW5600BDG23-1 ‘Anytime & Anywhere’ collaboration on February 17

Update: The co-branded Bodega x G-Shock DW5600BDG23-1 “Anytime & Anywhere” watch has a price of $170 and includes a translucent smoke gray resin band and a woven strap with a carabiner attachment, which allows the watch to be worn on clothing or bags. The world map graphic also appears on the display border and EL backlight.
Original Post: Streetwear boutique Bodega will be launching its second G-Shock collaboration on February 17. The watch has not been fully revealed yet, but a post on the official @bodega Instagram account shows a military-themed trunk-like box, a metal “bullbar” face protector, strap adapters, and band removal tool. A second post shows the case back of a Japanese-made DW-5600 with a co-branded “Anytime & Anywhere” engraving featuring a world map. “Since 1983” appears below the “G-Shock Protection” logo, referencing the G-Shock 40th Anniversary. The images lead us to believe that the watch includes both a resin band and a NATO-style strap. (Update: The watch actually includes a strap with a carabiner.)
Bodega was launched in Boston in 2006 under the concept of “hidden in plain sight.” The frontage of the store resembles a neighborhood grocery store, with a hidden door in the form of a Snapple machine. In 2018, Bodega opened an 8,000-square-foot store in the ROW DTLA historic district in downtown Los Angeles.
Bodega is an authorized G-Shock seller and was one of the only retailers to offer the grail-like GMW-B5000TFC-1 Porter collaboration online during the G-Shock 35th Anniversary in 2018. Later that year, Bodega released the G-Shock DW-6900BB-1BD collaboration featuring a soup can case.
The DW5600BDG23-1 collaboration will be available on Friday, February 17 (12:00 p.m. EST), at the Bodega online store at bdgastore.com for $170. (Bodega ships internationally with some exceptions, see comments below.) The watch will also be available at Bodega’s Boston and Los Angeles stores. Casio will also be selling the watch at casio.com/us with an estimated release date of February 21.

It appears the official U.S. G-Shock website will also be selling the watch, however the release date is scheduled for 21 February 2023.
