G-Shock Australia is releasing a special collaboration with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA), a not-for-profit community organization that provides rescue services and promotes water safety. The matte white GLX5600SLS-7D is a G-LIDE surfing model featuring a tide and moon graph, with a custom red and yellow face inspired by the iconic flags seen on Australian beaches. Other advantages that the GLX-5600 has over the standard DW-5600 include world time, 3 alarms with 1 snooze, button tone on/off, auto light, and an approximate 7-year battery life. The watch has a custom engraved case back and comes in a round tin case that resembles the floatation devices used by the rescue volunteers.
The GLX5600SLS-7D is now available for pre-ordering in Australia at g-shockaustralia.com.au, with a retail price of AU$299. The GLX5600SLSVIP VIP package is also available for AU$399, which includes the watch plus a co-branded dry bag and towel.
