Update: All three DWB5600 and two GAB001 watches were released at the G-Shock U.S. website, with the other two GAB001 models (GAB001-1A, GAB001G-1A) coming soon. The prices are confirmed to be $140 for each DWB5600 watch, $140 each for the two GAB001 models, and $150 each for the GAB001G models (translucent with gradated band).
The U.S. list prices for the G-Shock GAB001 and DWB5600 series, which are still awaiting release, have been revealed.
The DWB5600G-1, DWB5600G-2, and DWB5600G-7 will have a list price of $140 each. At this price, there doesn’t seem to be any possibility of the DW-B5600 completely replacing the DW-5600 in the future.
The GAB001-1A and GAB001-4A will have a list price of $140 each, and the GAB001G-1A and GAB001G-2A have a list price of $150 each.
These prices are higher than we were expecting and hoping for. We understand that inflation is terrible and production costs are rising, but these prices seem a little high in comparison to some other models with similar features. Granted, these watches do offer something unique from an aesthetic standpoint.
In comparison to the DWB5600, the GBD800, a digital model with Bluetooth and a step counter, is only $110.
Compared to the GAB001, for just $10 more you also get Tough Solar power with the GAB2100 (but the GAB001 does have a 24-hour timer over the 60-minute timer of the GAB2100). The analog-digital GBA900 (with Bluetooth, step counter, and advanced training functions) is the same price as the GAB001 at $140.
The DWB5600 and GAB001 prices have not been officially confirmed yet, but the source is usually accurate.
